Gir lion safari: official site, fees and rules

  1. Book only on girlion.gujarat.gov.in. The Forest Department calls it the only official booking site and warns about fake sites that sell "confirmed" permits at higher prices.
  2. Booking opens 3 months before the date and closes 2 hours before the slot. There is no tatkal booking.
  3. One permit is for up to 6 adults and 1 child (3–12 years), on one route in one time slot.
  4. Permit fee for Indians: Gir Jungle Safari gypsy ₹800 (Monday–Friday) or ₹1,000 (weekends and festivals); Devalia mini bus and Ambardi bus ₹150 / ₹190 per person. The guide and the vehicle are paid separately.
  5. Carry the original photo ID you entered while booking (Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or voter ID; foreigners: passport). Wrong ID details mean no entry and no refund.
  6. Gir Jungle Safari and Girnar Nature Safari are closed from 16 June to 15 October. Devalia is closed on Wednesdays and Ambardi on Tuesdays.

  1. सिर्फ़ girlion.gujarat.gov.in पर बुक करें। वन विभाग इसे अकेली आधिकारिक बुकिंग साइट बताता है और ज़्यादा दाम पर "पक्का" परमिट बेचने वाली नकली साइटों से सावधान करता है।
  2. बुकिंग तारीख़ से 3 महीने पहले खुलती है और स्लॉट से 2 घंटे पहले बंद होती है। तत्काल बुकिंग नहीं है।
  3. एक परमिट में 6 बड़े और 1 बच्चा (3–12 साल), एक रूट और एक समय-स्लॉट के लिए।
  4. भारतीयों के लिए परमिट शुल्क: गिर जंगल सफ़ारी जिप्सी ₹800 (सोमवार–शुक्रवार) या ₹1,000 (शनिवार-रविवार और त्योहार); देवलिया मिनी बस और आंबरडी बस ₹150 / ₹190 प्रति व्यक्ति। गाइड और गाड़ी का पैसा अलग से।
  5. बुकिंग में डाला गया असली फ़ोटो ID साथ रखें (आधार, PAN, ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस या वोटर ID; विदेशी: पासपोर्ट)। ID ग़लत हो तो एंट्री नहीं और पैसे वापस नहीं।
  6. गिर जंगल सफ़ारी और गिरनार नेचर सफ़ारी 16 जून से 15 अक्टूबर तक बंद रहती हैं। देवलिया बुधवार को और आंबरडी मंगलवार को बंद।
