Book on the Rajasthan Forest Department's FMDSS site (fmdss.forest.rajasthan.gov.in).
Advance booking opens one season at a time. For safaris from 1 October to 31 December 2026 it opened at 12 noon on 1 August 2026, and about 40,000 people registered in 2 hours. Be ready at the opening time.
On that day officials blocked millions of fake and bot requests. Private "Ranthambore booking" sites show up in search: they are agents, not the Forest Department.
